Janice Nickerson has over 30 years' experience researching Canadian, American and European ancestors and will be happy to help you with all phases of your family history project including ancestral research, historical research, and family history book writing.

She is a regular contributor to Family Chronicle and Internet Genealogy magazines, and is the author of Crime and Punishment in Upper Canada: A Researcher's Guide, York's Sacrifice: Militia Casualties of the War of 1812, 101 Best Genealogy Research Tips and Saving Family Memories.

Her expertise includes Upper Canadian history, fur trade history, and turning bare bones genealogies into full-fledged family histories. Her website includes a variety of resources for people researching in this early period, including indexes to the Upper Canada Sundries, Gore and Home District jail records and Prince Edward County women’s wills.

Janice was also the project genealogist for the Canadian version of the hit UK TV series, Who Do You Think You Are?, which aired on CBC on October 2007 to February 2008.
