My name is Michelle Carpenter. I live in Kent and was raised in Sussex and born in Birmingham so I have a lot of historical knowledge of these three wonderful counties in England.

You may be an experienced researcher but your location means you can’t access records in Kent or Sussex, an individual with a lot of family paperwork that you need to attempt to understand or a beginner that doesn’t know where to start. I provide a quick, and friendly and confidential service offering as much advice and guidance as possible. All my contact with you is via E-Mail, which is the quickest and easiest way to communicate. You of course can speak to me by phone and if you live near enough, in person. I will consider searches outside the area – Surrey, London, Essex and PRO Kew but my fees will vary due to distance and the turn around time might take longer.

My own research started 16 years ago with my own family and is still continuing today. My clients have provided me with challenging, unique and interesting projects each with their own individual expectations. This job is like a huge jigsaw puzzle, you think all the pieces are in the box, you start putting them together hoping to complete the whole picture, wondering if there are any pieces missing. I can help to find the pieces that got lost behind the cupboard to complete the picture. I am a member of local and national genealogical societies.

As a child I was intuitive, inquizative, nosey, traits that have stayed with me all my life and that have stood me in good stead with my research business. A fascination for what has gone before, methodical and dilligent ways of working , together with the shear determination to get to the bottom of things has helped to ensure my clients get as complete picture of their past as possible.
