Stephen Thomas

A professional genealogist, broadcaster and writer of 20 years experience.

Stephen Thomas was trained at the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies in Canterbury, England and was until recently the Managing Director and Head of Research at a leading Genealogical research company. He researched and presented BBC2's Blood Ties and has appeared in an expert context on several radio and TV programmes.

Stephen now spends much of his time writing articles for Family History publications including several important articles on tracing overseas relatives for Your Family Tree.

As well as specialising in Great Britain research he has an interest in the history of surnames and their place of origin and British enclave origins overseas. In addition he has researched the history of hundreds of Public Houses and Inns for several leading brewers.
