Family History Solutions offers our services to provide you with many years of experience to help you overcome difficult roadblocks so that you can get back to the wonderful searching for your ancestors or complete researching packages that will build family histories and exciting links to the past. Our family historians have many years of researching and writing about the United States as well as the many European nations in which your ancestors left on their way to this country. The majority of our work is carried out in the World Famous Family History Library located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Throughout the year research trips are undertaken to various parts of the United States and Europe to complete research at on-site primary locations (cemeteries, town and county clerks, and other government record offices). By pooling the work of many clients these trips are more cost effective.

Our deeply held philosophy here at Family History Solutions is that your family roots are much more than just names, dates, and places. For Family History to come alive the history of your ancestors needs to understood. What were their experiences, their hardships, joys, and sadnesses? By combining accurate, fully documented family history data (provided to you in easy to follow reports, family group sheets, and pedigree sheets) along with the meat on the family history bones, historical context, your family will come alive with both the joyous and the unhappy experiences your ancestors felt that will make up the pictures of their lives. We feel that it is important to realize that we are what our ancestors were.


In order to accomplish this, we offer the following services that we feel bring together a more well rounded picture of your family’s experiences:

1 professional family history research: we are trained professional historians with the ability to sift through the research material finding the key elements that link your family to the past

2 taking your family experience information and producing a well written narrative that tells the story of your ancestors lives so that you can relive their the story and hopefully gain valuable insight from it

3 professional layout skills that can be utilized for creating tastefully and well organized family histories (both print and electronic publishing) incorporating your family photos, so that you will be proud to give to other family members and have it passed down to future generations

4 professional photo restoration: including photo repair and bringing your old historic photos back to life, getting them to look new and showing your ancestors in their best light

5 family histories well written by professional historians: after the information has been gathered a narrative suitable for publication can be created so that your families stories can be shared for generations

6 oral interviewing and oral history: get the stories of older parents, grandparents and even great grandparents preserved on both video and audio tapes (converted to digital DVD and CD’s), not only will you know the stories of your parents and grandparents but you will hear and see them relate these stories to you and your family for generations to come

7 gather your family from far and wide to share and experience the satisfaction of family together, in a well planned and fun family reunion. We can help you plan and take the work out of it so you will enjoy the fun instead of the worry and headache

8 full LDS Temple ordinance support for our Mormon member friends, including completed ordinance look-up as well as providing you with temple cards so yo can do the ordinance work yourselves


Our fees range from $15 - $50 per hour depending on what you want done. It is important to understand that we want you happy with our work, and that is our number one goal.
