OGS isa source of primary genealogical research material. OGS produces original research, indexes and "how to..." books and CDs.

OGS is a volunteer run organization, with hundreds of volunteers supporting OGS and genealogy.

OGS has library resources - our provincial library in Toronto and in many branch libraries.

The Kent County Genealogy and Family History Library is on the second floor of the Chatham-Kent Public Library, 120 Queen St., in downtown Chatham, Ontario, Canada.

The Chatham-Kent Library maintains a history and newspaper file section just outside our door. You may search the holdings of census, cemetery, church, and family histories without charge. There are microfilm indexes of Births, Marriages, and Deaths etc.
