Relatives with common parents are siblings.
Those with common grandparents are 1st cousins. Those with common great
grandparents are 2nd cousins. Those with common 2nd great grandparents are 3rd
cousins. Etc.
Removed
The term removed is to indicated that
the relatives are in different generations. You and all of your first cousins
are of the same generation. Your first cousin's children are in a different
generation so they are first cousins once removed. Your first cousin's
grandchildren are first cousins twice removed.
